Azura Dining

Lead Dining

Azura certainly doesn't disappoint when it comes to the variety of different restaurants on board with everything from self-service buffet to formal dining and British fine dining to exotic Indian cuisine.

Main Dining

The Peninsular Restaurant - Fixed Seating Dining

The Peninsular Restaurant has fixed seating dining with waiter service and is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Breakfast is available between 7.30am and 9am and lunch is available between 12.15pm and 13.45pm, both with open seating.

Afternoon tea is served from 4pm to 4.45pm on a first-come, first-served basis. In the evening dinner is available at two fixed times of 6.30pm for first sitting and 8.30pm for second sitting, with the same table reserved each night. Samples of the main dining menus can be found here.

The Oriental Restaurant - Fixed Seating Dining

The Oriental Restaurant is also used for fixed seating dining with waiter service, but it is only open for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is usually available from 7.30am - 9am with open seating, and dinner is available at two fixed sittings at 6.30pm for first sitting and 8.30pm for second sitting, with the same table reserved for the duration of your cruise. Samples of the main dining menus can be found here.

The Meridian Restaurant - Freedom Dining

The Meridian Restaurant offers Freedom Dining with waiter service and it is open for dinner only. As there are no set dining times or table plans, you just need to arrive anytime between 6pm and 9.30pm and you will be seated. If there are no tables available you will given a pager that will tell you when your table is ready. You can dine at a different table with different people each night if you want to. Samples of the main dining menus can be found here.

Signature Dining

Sindhu - Speciality Indian Restaurant

Sindhu is a new concept restaurant created by the 'master of spices' Atul Kochhar. Between 11am and 6pm you can enjoy Nashta (tapas) style food, whilst during the evening the menu features a variety of unique Indian dishes.

There is a cover charge of approx. £4.95 per person for the Nashta and approx £20 per person for dinner. As it's a very popular restaurant, you will need to book a table in advance which you can do via the P&O Cruise Personaliser or once you arrive onboard. Click here to see an example of the Nashta menu, and see a sample dinner menu Sindhu

The Glass House - Speciality Restaurant and Wine Bar

The Glass House offers a huge variety of wine from all over the world and there's a great food menu to compliment each different type of wine, all devised with the help of wine expert and TV personality Olly Smith. The restaurant is open from 11am until 11pm daily and carries a basic cover charge of between £2.75 - £7.50 for individual dishes, or approx. £25 per person for a taster evening. As it is a speciality restaurant you will need to make a reservation in advance. A sample of the main daytime menu can be found here, or click to view the tasting menu here.

Epicurean - Classic Fine Dining

Epicurean has a distinctive British feel as it was designed in the style of some of London's most famous classic hotels. With its elegant decor and stunning sea views, the restaurant is a great alternative if you are celebrating a special occasion or want a more intimate dining experience. The restaurant is open from 6pm to 10pm and the menu features a wide selection of traditional British dishes, including Cornish Sea Bass, Welsh Lamb and Beef Fillet. There is a cover charge of approx £28 per person to dine here and a reservation will need to be made in advance via the P&O Cruise Personaliser or once you arrive onboard. If you are staying in a Suite then you will also be able to enjoy complimentary breakfast in Seventeen between 7.30am and 9am. A sample of the dinner menu can be found The Epicurean here.

Alternative Dining

Verona - Self-service Buffet

If you prefer a more informal setting for dining then the Verona buffet restaurant is a great alternative to the more formal main dining room. It is open between 8am and 9.30pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a wide variety of food from cereal and sandwiches to roast dinners and curry. You will also find a selection of tea and coffee available at the self-service machines, as well as water and fruit juice.

For dinner in the evening one side of the restaurant becomes an Italian Trattoria and has waiter service available, making it a slightly more formal setting for dinner, but still retaining the casual atmosphere. The best thing about the Verona restaurant is that it has no fixed dining times or table plans so you can come and go at a time that suits you!

Venezia - Self-service Buffet

The Venezia restaurant is right opposite the Verona restaurant and offers very similar cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open from 6.30am right through until 1.30am and serves afternoon tea and late night snacks in addition to the main meals. It is particularly popular with families because of the open dining times, and the restaurant offers an early children's tea at 5pm with lots of children's favourites on offer such as fish fingers, sausages, pasta, chicken nuggets and pizza.

Java Cafe - Coffee Shop

The Java Cafe is a casual coffee shop located just off the Atrium. It serves a range of Costa Coffee including speciality teas and coffee plus hot chocolate drinks and soft drinks. A selection of pastries, cakes and other sweet treats are also available. The Java Cafe is usually open from around 8am until 11pm in the evening.

Poolside Grill and Pizzeria - Casual Dining

The Poolside Grill and Pizzeria are located at the Coral Pool so they are a popular place to grab a snack or light lunch if you are spending time around the pool. The Pizzeria has a wide selection of freshly-made pizza with a choice of popular toppings on offer. On the opposite side of the pool is the Grill which serves hamburgers, chicken, hot sandwiches and fish with chips and salad. Both venues are open from 11am until 7pm and open seating is available around the pool area.

The ship is great. Not keen on the decor but thats my personal choice. The ship was very clean as was our cabin. Entertainment was very good. Staff very friendly and polite. Only downside was that a member of our party had his coat stolen while on board, which to certain extent spoiled our holiday.

Well laid out and fairly spacious but benefited by requesting for twin bed arrangement as this gives a lot more space in the middle of the cabin. The shower was a bit on the small side with not being able to bend without touching the curtain. Well located being a few metres from a lift to up to the buffet restaurant or down to the fixed dining room.

Dining Rating : 4
We were fixed dining going second sitting. A good selection most evenings although did start to repeat after one week. Lunch in some ways we found to be more enjoyable as always a curry available. Lunch was taken in the restaurant as the buffet restaurant tends to be very busy.

Entertainment Rating : 3
There are now some new productions from the Headliners which was refreshing as usually we do not go as we have seen their other productions so many times previously. Roy Walker was performing yet again, must spend most of the year performing on various ships! Jet Set and Accent were very good groups that are based on the Azura.

Ship Rating : 4
Reasonable size ship with good facilities and easy to get around after getting used to it. A bit crowded in the venues in the evening for the entertainment.

Like the coffee and tea facilities plus the biscuits ,sweets and chocolates. The toiletries are a delight.Room service wonderful. Lacking..Daily supply of mineral water and slippers.food plentiful

Dining Rating : 5
Food fantastic.Lots of choices.Buffet food rather not up to the standard and area quite run- down.Soup too salty.Would appreciate if oriental food is served more often especially soup noodles .ge

Entertainment Rating : 5
Generally good but since majority of the cruisers are elderly, 'Oldies'will be more entertaining...songs by Elvis,Cliff Richard,Tom Jones,Frank Sinatra etc.Comedians should be not so 'intellectual' Enjoyed the performance put up by crew members...very entertaining. Ben Makiki show was great.Enjoyed too the lectures by Priscilla Morris.the crew members were helpful, pleasant, heerful

Ship Rating : 5
The ship needs a uplift or refurbishment. The upholstry drab.Don't enjoy the buffet area.

Good location on the ship, clean and tidy with a nice balcony. Good value just what we wanted.

Dining Rating : 5
good food, good choice on the menu and excellent service, plus buffet dinning available if prefered.

Entertainment Rating : 4
Many of the acts were very good but some artists did not suite our tastes, however thats fine as plenty of varied entertainment to choose from

Ship Rating : 4
The ship was good, however as first time cruisers was not happy with the amount of sea days and short shore stops particularly as we could not dock at Reykjavik, the main Iceland destination, which resulted in three continues days at sea mid cruise. Unfortunately this did spoil the cruise somewhat.

Did not like the way the Atrium was used for dancing classes. The constant noise percolated the whole of the surrounding areas and was annoying

Mr B Jeffrey 03/07/2017

Cabin Rating : 5
A great cabin with plenty of space to sit, plenty of space to hang clothes with as many coat hangers as you require ( the cabin steward was very helpful in providing is with extra ones). The bed is extremely comfortable but found the pillows a bit hard. The balcony is a great space for sitting out and with the added champagne, chocolates, fruit bowl and canapes who could ask for more?

Great choice of food cooked to perfection. Five star. The service in the restaurants was second to none. You felt very special.

Really enjoyed most of the headliners shows. Roy Walker was much funnier than I expected and really enjoyed his show. The highlight of the entertainment for us was the Elvis Presley show by Chris Reynolds, the Assistant Entertainments Manager. He was brilliant.

the quality of the food was top notch and the waiters were excellent. the wine was pretty good as well. the atmosphere was relaxed and we were not rushed. we had breakfast and dinner in the same restaurant and had a good choice of table.

Entertainment Rating : 5
we thought the onboard entertainment was amazing - so much choice. the azura's show team pulled out all the stops to provide top notch entertainment. the guest entertainers were excellent too - we really enjoyed all the comedians, the ventriloquist, the impersonator, the annie lennox tribute and will martin.

great ship and seemed to have more space than her sister ship the Britannia. Decor was nice and the ship was very clean. we really enjoyed the planet bar in the evening after the shows.

there was nothing about this cabin to complain about. Bed fantastic with excellent quality bed linen, very spacious and comfortable.

The only reason I did not rate this awesome was due to table availability in buffet restaurants. Otherwise superb staff service and food choice and quality.
