If you prefer something a little slower-paced then there is ample room to soak up the sun around one of the swimming pools or perhaps take a leisurely stroll around the promenade deck. In the evening the ship comes alive with everything from musical productions in the Royal Court Theatre, live music in the Yacht Club and ballroom dancing in the Queen's Room. You can also try your luck at black jack or roulette in Empire's Casino, or perhaps head across to the Golden Lion pub for pub quizzes, karaoke and music.

Health and Fitness

The Royal Spa and Fitness Centre is the perfect place to while away an hour or two. In the gym you will find a wide variety of the latest fitness equipment as well as an aerobics area for classes including yoga and spinning. In the Royal Spa you are spoilt for choice with a great range of indulgent treatments available in the sea-view rooms that include reflexology, facials and massages. The Royal Bath House is a social area with a hydrotherapy pool and thermal suite with saunas and heated ceramic loungers.

Trivia

As the second largest ship in the Cunard fleet, a staggering 86% of cabins on Queen Elizabeth have an ocean view. With over 70% of those cabins featuring a balcony, it's now even easier to experience the wonderful sea views all from the comfort of your own cabin.

Children's Facilities

Queen Elizabeth is a great choice for families with a range of activities and facilities available and dedicated children's clubs run by fully trained nannies. For young children there is the Play Zone which has a soft play area and activities include games, quizzes, movies and interactive learning. Teens also have their own area, the Zone, where they have sports tournaments, movie nights, video games, discos and karaoke.

The restaurant is open for lunch between 12.30pm and 2pm and for dinner between 6pm and 9pm. There is a cover charge of approx $5-$12 per dish for lunch and approx $29 overall for dinner depending on your chosen meals, and you will need to make a reservation in advance either via the Cunard Cruise Personaliser or once you arrive onboard. You can also enjoy outdoor dining at the Lido Grill, which is located close to the Lido Pool area and serves a great choice of hot grilled food including burgers, hot dogs and chicken. It is generally open from 10.30am until 6pm so it's a great place to grab lunch or an afternoon snack.

The Golden Lion - Casual Dining

Queens Room and The Garden Lounge - Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a tradition long held by Cunard and it is certainly not something to be missed! Held in the Queen's Room Ballroom and The Garden Lounge, you will be served fine tea, finger sandwiches, cakes and fresh scones with jam and cream by the white-gloved waiters.

Mr J Palmer 22/05/2017

Cabin Rating : 5
A comfortable inside cabin, we normally have a balcony cabin, but the price difference this time was too much. Updated SMART TV with screen casting and USB facilities so one can watch their own films or programmes if wished. Cabin/Stateroom magically cleaned (exceptionally) twice a day. The only slight downsides would be a slight vibration this far aft and being on deck 7 and towards the back you may feel more movement in heavy seas (this did not bother us on this cruise)

Dining Rating : 4
The quality of the food was very good and the atmosphere of being on a Cunard ship was, once again, excellent. However the dining room waiters we had, were not as interactive as some of the waiters we have had before on Queen Victoria. (For example, no 'extras' such as ice cream on the side of dessert, were spontaneously offered)

Entertainment Rating : 5
Entertainment was very good, apart from the 1st night, the on-board troupe only made a single appearance. Every other night, we had entertainment brought in by Cunard, such as a funny, witty comedian (who didn't need to resort to 'blue' jokes for a cheap laugh), an illusionist and a pop/opera group.

Ship Rating : 5
Ship was very clean throughout, we are already looking forward to our next cruise on Queen Elizabeth.

Mr R Folkerd 22/05/2017

Cabin Rating : 4
We were upgrade to a outside cabin 4056 which was a bonus, although the a/c was a bit fast flowing, but good size and quiet room very comfortable.

Dining Rating : 5
Whether we dined in the Britannia restaurant or up in the Lido the food & service was excellent.

Entertainment Rating : 4
Very good but have seen the shows before

Ship Rating : 5
Cunard are a cut above other cruise ships and it's worth paying a bit extra for the experience.

Mrs L Hayes 15/05/2017

Cabin Rating : 5
The cabin was spacious with lots of storage space, the bed was so comfortable and soft but what made it special was the bottle of wine Cunard left, as it was our 30th wedding anniversary.. No one else new.

Dining Rating : 5
The quality of the food was excellent, whilst the dinning rooms outshone with sheer luxury. I felt I was on a movie set, as staff busied themselves with, bottles of wine and sumptuous puddings.

Entertainment Rating : 5
Bernie Flint excellent, took me back to the 1970s whilst the Bluejays really got the party going..great music

Ship Rating : 5
The ship is a grand symbol of sheer luxury. The décor reflects cruising from an era the we can only imagine what cruising was like for the rich and famous, to experience this now is pretty amazing. We couldn't fault the ship, it was clean, with some amazing art work which we loved.

Mr M Davies 11/05/2017

Cabin Rating : 4
Overall very comfortable, well serviced, but no room for a small sofa. Only one chair, and of course no tea or coffee making facilities

Dining Rating : 5
Excellent service in main restaurant, plenty of selection, and space in the buffet

Entertainment Rating : 3
All pretty average I'm afraid

Ship Rating : 4
The Queen Elizabeth is a lovely, comfortable ship. Easy to find your way round. Staff on the whole efficient and cheery. Outside decks were never overly busy, and no problem with finding a sun bed or your own space. The only downside is the price of the alcohol. Once service charge is added the cheapest bottle of wine is approx £30 ( nothing fancy either) . All our fellow passengers we spoke to agreed with this opinion and suggested that a more reasonable price would encourage greater sales. So come on Cunard listen to your customers.

Mr T Van Assche 14/01/2017

Cabin Rating : 4
Good and comfortable room. Only downside is the 3rd bed is the sofa and when set up is blocking the whole room

Dining Rating : 3
Food is good. Main dining was disappointing. Too English and not really fine cuisine

Entertainment Rating : 3
Not a lot of entertainment provided

Could do with more storage(drawer) space. The shower room could be bigger, especially shower cubical. We are both slim but wonder how large people manage to shower in it. My wife doesn't like the shower head as it can't be used as a hand held shower to wash her hair. It would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Our cabin attendant could have waited a little longer between knocking and letting herself into the room, to give us a chance to get to the door. But overall, it's a quiet and spacious room.

Dining Rating : 4
We are not fussy eaters and most food on offer was good.

Entertainment Rating : 5
We choose Cunard because we like ballroom dancing and their Queen's rooms are the only good dance floors at sea.

Ship Rating : 5
This is our third cruise on QE and the fourth on Cunard and we have enjoyed them all. We've done most of the Med. and Baltic itineraries already (with other cruise lines as well as Cunard) and would like to do something different. However, they only have more exotic destinations during their world cruise itineraries in the first four months of the year, when we are not available to take cruise holidays. Is there any chance of them revising what they offer at what time of the year?

Mr S Russell 25/11/2016

Cabin Rating : 4
Very obstructed (as expected) but close to lift

Dining Rating : 5
At peak times queues can build up in buffet but never took bad. Main dining room great but had to work to get table at our preferred time and a 2 seater.

Entertainment Rating : 5
All entertainment Good. Theatre always had spare seating available.

Ship Rating : 4
very impressed with staff and crew really liked the décor of the ship

Mr V Howe 27/10/2016

Cabin Rating : 4
Really comfortable beds & Pillows. Would have appreciated a tea/coffee making tray in the cabin as they have on Queen Mary.

Dining Rating : 4
Entertainment Rating : 4
The classical couple Geoffrey Haydock and Penny were superb. Rumour has it though that Cunard are no longer having classical duos. This is a great shame as this couple were very popular, had a standing ovation after their last concert.

Ship Rating : 4
I wouldn't call Queen Elizabeth awesome as your ratings but we love the ship. Easy to get around, comfortable and very good staff.
