From the moment you walk through the beautiful main atrium you will be met with endless entertainment possibilities. Daytime activities range from dance classes, wine tasting and internet classes in the iLounge, to spa treatments, sports contests and lounging by the pool in the sun. The Lawn Club is a real grass lawn up on the top deck and it is a fantastic place to relax and admire the views. You can also watch glass-making demonstrations several times a day at the Hot Glass Show. In the evening you can choose from shows, music, dancing and comedy. The Eclipse Theatre spans across three decks and hosts a number of fantastic productions as well as acrobatics shows and live music. In the Ensemble Lounge you can listen to fantastic jazz music, whilst the Sunset Bar has stunning views over the ships stern. If you want to dance the night away then you can do so in the funky 70's themed nightclub, Quasar, which has its own resident DJ and is open until the early hours.
The AquaSpa on board Celebrity Eclipse is one of the largest in the fleet and has an impressive range of facilities available. The outdoor Solarium is a peaceful adults-only retreat with a swimming pool, whirlpools and lots of padded sun loungers. The Solarium also has a glass roof so that it can be used even if you are sailing to cooler climes. Within the AquaSpa is the Persian Garden, a thermal suite with stunning sea-views and heated ceramic loungers, saunas and steam rooms. You can also treat yourself to some pampering in the beauty salon and treatment rooms, some of which are used exclusively for acupuncture. The Fitness Centre has a state-of-the art gym that has a wide range of fitness equipment as well as weights and an exercise area for fitness classes such as spinning, pilates, aerobics and yoga. Out on deck there is a jogging track plus multi-use sports courts, and of course, there is the Lawn Club where you can play croquet and lawn bowls.
Did you know Celebrity Eclipse was used to rescue people during the ash cloud saga in 2010? In an act of goodwill before the ship had even been officially named, Celebrity Eclipse sailed over to Bilbao, Spain to rescue some 2,000 British tourists who were stranded and took them back to Southampton.
Celebrity Eclipse has excellent facilities for children so there is sure to be something to keep them entertained no matter what age they are. The children's clubs are split up in to several different age groups and all of the activities are age-specific to that group. The Shipmates room and Fun Factory are for children aged 3 to 11, and activities range from face painting, arts and crafts and story-telling, to parties, sports and dance competitions. The X-Club is a cool chill-out room for teens aged 12 to 17 years where they can watch movies, play music and generally hang out with their friends. At night the room becomes a nightclub with a soft drinks bar and DJ booth. Close to the children's clubs is a video arcade which has a wide variety of classic and modern games plus air hockey tables, and outside there is the sports courts where the children can take part in sports tournaments.
